This lesson plan gives an analysis of the racial characteristics of modern Brazil with some historical background. Students will be able to describe the ethnic composition of Brazil, with each individual student focusing on characteristics of the Brazilian population, interpreting data and translating data to pie charts. Students will explore the different definitions of race and gain an understanding on the complexity of racial issues.
