Coalition for Human Rights: Defend Migrant Rights in Tucson



The Coalition for Human Rights is a grassroots organization located in Tucson. It currently has three main projects in the works. The Missing Migrant project works towards identifying and locating missing migrants. The Know Your Rights Project teaches immigrants about their legal rights.The Coalition work against the criminalization of migration, including pushing for the end of Operation Streamline. CHR welcomes student help, and it is a great place to work in particular for students interested in immigration law and human rights law.  


The Coalition for Human Rights usually offers a formal internship manning their missing migrant hotline in the fall semester. This position requires interns to help callers locate their friends and family members who have disappeared. Strong Spanish skills are a must.
