Danielle Clealand is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center for African American
Studies at Princeton University. She received her PhD in political science from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and specializes in comparative racial politics, with a focus on Latin America. Her current book manuscript examines the role of racial ideology and black political consciousness in contemporary Cuba.
