José Miguel Cruz holds a doctoral degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt
University and a Master degree in Public Policy in Latin America from Oxford University. He is a visiting assistant professor at the Department of Politics and International Relations and a fellow at the Center for the Administration of Justice at Florida International University in Miami. His main research focuses on criminal violence and democracy in Latin America.
