México Aéreo Photo Exhibit Opening Ceremony

The National University of Mexico at Tucson and the University of Arizona are pleased to invite you to the photographic exhibit "México Aéreo (Mexico from the air)," to be held from February 22 to March 31 at 'Katchina Lounge' located in the 3th floor of the Student Union Memorial Center at the University of Arizona. 

The opening ceremony will take place on February 26 at 5:00 pm during which a lecture will be given by PhD candidate Luis Coronado Guel entitled "Aerial Mexico's Image: Modernity and Cultural Change in the Post-Revolutionary Era."

UNAM at San Antonio and ICA (Ingenieros Civiles Asociados) Foundation coordinated the printing of the photographs you will see in this exhibit and they are part of more than one million images, mostly black and white, belonging to the aerial photographic heritage recognized by UNESCO through the “Memory of the World Program”. This collection has Mexico City pictures from 1930 to 1990 and provides a visual memory of urban development.
