The Center for Latin American Studies invites you to an evening of Latin American dance and music!

Twenty exceptional, mostly indigenous, college student leaders from Latin America are taking part of the University of Arizona SUSI institute. Come to learn about and meet students from Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Ecuador & Panama.
The Study of the U.S. Institute is funded by the U.S. State Department. The students selected are first-generation colleges students, from underserved communities who have shown leadership as university or community organizers.  They come to the UA to learn about US history and culture, with a focus on environmental sustainability and indigenous issues; as well as to improve leadership skills and establish relationships with UA college students and families in Tucson The ultimate goal is to strengthen the ties of solidarity among peoples from the Americas, and to nurture future political, social, and cultural leaders.
