CLAS Director Dr. Marcela Vásquez- León has been promoted to Full Research Scientist and Full Professor!

Dr. Marcela Vásquez- León has been promoted to Full Research Scientist and Full Professor! In her role as Director, her "contributions have strengthened CLAS’s core dual mission of teaching and outreach, and today CLAS is one of the top Latin American Studies Centers in the country, as recognized by the National Research Council’s designation." She also continues to teach every semester and make meaningful contributions to scholarship in the field.
