LAS and the Arizona State Museum Complete Film on the History of U.S. Immigration

The Department for Latin American Studies and the Arizona State Museum are proud to present their first joint filmmaking effort: U.S. Immigration: Linking Past to Present. The fifteen-minute film was made possible by a grant from Arizona Humanities Council, and was produced by Daniel Duncan, husband of LAS Director Marcela Vasquez-Leon. Colin Deeds (Assistant LAS Director), Tadeo Pfister (Former LAS Outreach Coordinator) and Lisa Falk (Museum Associate Curator of Education) directed and wrote the film. U.S. Immigration gives a comprehensive overview of the history of U.S. immigration policy and includes in-depth interviews with Tucson-based immigrants from a variety of countries. The film will be used for outreach and educational purposes in the future, but can be found at for the time being. Congratulations Colin, Lisa, Tadeo, and Dan on the completion of a great and ambitious project!
