The festival will provide a rich panorama of Latin American classical music featuring the work of four prominent composers: Villa-Lobos, Ginastera, Chávez and Revueltas. The work of these four progenitors of Latin American composers provides a context for contemporary Latin American composers, in the same way that Ives and Copland paved the way for the creation of a distinctly American music.
