“In the Americas” with David Yetman, is a new HDTV series seen on nationally on PBS and produced right here in Tucson by multiple Emmy Award-winning producer & director Dan Duncan and internationally renowned writer, host, & producer David Yetman. The series takes a fresh look at the lands that make up much of the Western Hemisphere and endeavors on a new approach to travel and adventure.
Sunday we will travel with Yetman to the state of Oaxaca in southern Mexico, home to more than 16 different indigenous communities, where we will have an opportunity to visit a Zapotec market, lush mangroves, and gain an insider’s perspective on the harvesting, drying and roasting of coffee. After screening the 30 minute episode, David Yetman will comment to us about his journey, collaborations with Mexican scholars and answer questions from the audience.
