LAS Faculty Member Antonio Bacelar Da Silva Meets With Former Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff

LAS core faculty member Antonio Bacelar Da Silva recently met with Dilma Rousseff,  the former president of Brazil who was impeached in 2016.  At the event in San Diego, a group of Brazil Studies faculty from throughout the U.S. met with Rousseff to talk about the challenges and possibilities for social justice and democratic processes in Brazil, as well as the present and future of Brazil Studies in the US in the context of Brazil's the recent political crisis.
