Real name:
Julieta graduated with honors from the University of Arizona-Eller College of Management in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration. She also earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in International Business, from Pima Community College in 1999. For the past 13 years, Julieta has held various positions related to administration, finance, and business management in different U of A departments. She is currently the business manager for the Center for Latin American Studies where she is responsible for the financial integrity of the unit; managing grants from the Department of Education, Tinker Foundation, Ford Foundation and National Endowment for the Humanities. She is also responsible for personnel and operational matters.
Julieta has been the recipient of several academic awards, such as the Certificate of Outstanding Academic Achievement, the Student Leadership Recognition Award and the Bilingual Scholarship Award, and she is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma, International Business Honor Society. She was nominated in 2004 for the Eller College-Outstanding Senior Award and in 2009 & 2011 for the Social and Behavioral Sciences-Outstanding Staff Award.
Julieta is engaged in the community serving as a board member for Tucson Mexico Sister Cities. She functions as Treasurer, Chair for the Nominating Committee and Co-chair for the Obregon and Guadalajara initiatives.
