Real name:
Philip Rody is a dual-degree student in Latin American Studies and Law. He received his undergraduate degree in Anthropology from Northern Arizona University in 2017.
Philip's research interests focus on the various intersections between immigration and labor, with an emphasis on guest worker programs. He is particularly interested in the bracero program and the H-2A temporary agricultural worker visa.
As an undergraduate student, Philip worked in the NAU Center for International Education where he helped international students comply with US immigration regulations. He was also a member of the Community and University Public Inquiry group, which collaborated with local organizations to support students from immigrant families. Philip conducted ethnographic field research with expat communities in Cotacachi, Ecuador during the fall 2016 semester.
