Brazil Studies Network

The Brazil Studies Network initiative launched in 2018 involving faculty from several U.S, universities such as San Diego State University, the University of Arizona, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of Michigan.

The network seeks to promote critical and interdisciplinary scholarship on different aspects of Brazilian development, with emphasis on race; gender and sexuality; democracy; and poverty and inequality. Based on our research, we also want to intervene in public debates about these issues and advocate for a more just society and polity in Brazil.
