When

1 to 5 p.m., April 19, 2024

Please join Tooleys and Agave Heritage festival as they host the Mujer Agave project from Oaxaca for the second year in a row.

Mujer Agave is a collective of women in the agave spirits industry where unity, legacy and joy are taught through diverse conferences and experiences. It’s geared toward empowering and connecting female stakeholders in the agave industry across disciplines. Based on the popularity of the 2023 event, it has expanded to an afternoon-long event with featuring a series of discussions with these icons of the mezcal industry. A tasting is included with this session.

You can learn more about the Mujer Agave project from this write-up of their first event in Mexico on the Mezcalistas blog. You can also follow Mujer Agave on Instagram.

The featured discussion topics are as follows:

1:15 - 2:00 | The Growth of Mezcal Consumption: Reflections on Sustainability

2:15 - 3:00 | Women in the Mezcal Industry

3:15 - 4:00 | A Mezcalera Proposal of Women Supporting Women in Everyday Life

4:15 - 5:00 | A Tasting with Mujer Agave: Participants will be served two samples of mezcal from Mezcaciarca, Real Minero, and Mezcalosfera for a tasting led by Mujer Agave.
