Welcome to CLAS: Fall 2023 Cohort

The Center for Latin American Studies would like to welcome the Fall 2023 cohort.

As a first-generation student, Sandra Cecilia earned a dual bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies and Criminal Justice from the University of Arizona. Sandra’s passion for gender and peacebuilding was furthered while interning at the University of Arizona’s Domestic Violence Law Clinic where she worked alongside law students in assisting survivors of intimate partner violence with legal aid. Her current research interests include global migration and mobility. Sandra is interested in understanding the dynamics between gender and migration trends. After graduate school, she would like to pursue a career in human rights and peacebuilding.
